I probably should've started this sooner

I'm writing this in the conference room in my apartment building. it's a newfound study haven and no one knows about it yet. I wish I could start from the beginning of my trip but I can't go back that far so I will just start with this weekend.

Thursday we went to a martial arts comedy performance called Jump! and this is a video clip of it:

it was really funny and well performed, and easy for everyone to understand because there were no words. afterwards we all went to a bar where foreigners go, called Mike's Cabin, and met up with a few people there. everyone had a lot of fun and enjoyed a chill night for once.

Friday I headed to Yonsei early in the morning to meet with my group members for my project in Ops Mgmt. we have to work on a case for a cookie company. it sucked. we're meeting 3 more times before it's due on Thursday. and that's enough of that.
after I got back, we had a dinner party at Brian's apartment, and everyone brought something that they cooked. the others brought authentic meals from their home country, like Thailand, India, Philipines...but I just made fried rice and cooked Spam because I can't make anything else. we played a really annoying game called 4 Horsemen and then I died and went back to my room.

Saturday I went to Kyobo bookstore, which looks like this:
it was huge and lovely. I called my mom to see what books she wanted me to get her (because Korean books are hard to get in the US) and after some minor miscommunication with one of the clerks who tried to find my books, I got 2/4 of the ones on her list.
after Kyobo, Morgan and I headed out to go see the fireworks festival on the Han River. after traveling great distances, we finally made it to Yongsan where we sat along the river and had a picnic with other Yonsei exchange students. the fireworks were beautiful and I will be posting pictures of them soon.

Sunday I freaked out about the amount of work I had to do and didn't do anything about it. I went out to meet my counselors from 5 years ago, and we had coffee and samgyupsal. during the course of our meal, I realized just how much Korean I don't know. they promised to teach me Korean if I taught them some English, so I hope that I can speed up my learning and expand my vocabulary. I came home and had a Skype meeting for my group project and died.
